SFC Steven "Champ" Champion of Clarksville, TN, (United States Army 1971 to 1988,) lost his heroic battle with cancer on Friday. "Champ" served our country with honor and was a Vietnam veteran. He also served as a contractor "in country" in Kuwait during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
"Champ" was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was an avid motorcyclist and was very active in the SCV Mechanized Cavalry motorcycle group, #1401, holding the rank of Sergeant in this organization. His dying wish was a "motorcycle funeral" with as many bikes as possible.
