"Render "Les" Allen, 90, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, after a long illness.

Mr. Allen was born June 17, 1905, at Warm Springs, GA. He was in the Navy for 25 years, from 1924 to 1949. He served in World War II and fought in the battle of Pearl Harbor.

After he retired from the Navy, he moved to Santa Ana, CA where he worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft at Long Beach. He retired in 1972 after 20 years of employment. He then moved to Wyandotte.

He was a member and a deacon of Adventist Christian Church, Tustin, CA.

Surviving is a sister, Veola Evans, Greensboro, NC.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Seneca (MO) Cemetery, The Rev. Larry Convirs officiated.

Arrangements were under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca."
