Carlen Henry Sebald, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Pine Haven Christian Home. Carlen was born July 8, 1923 in Town Sheboygan to the late Charles and Mary (Krueger) Sebald. He attended Starlight Grade School in the town of Sheboygan Falls before working on the family. On October 28, 1944, he married the former Wilhelmina Perronne at Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1998. He was employed by Vollrath Company for many years before retiring in 1985. Carlen was a previous 4-H leader and a committee member for the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation. He was active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, serving on the property committee and as usher. Carlen enjoyed hunting in Sheboygan county and fishing in the Pine Lake and Sturgeon Bay area and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Minna. He also enjoyed playing Sheepshead and Skat with family and friends. He recently celebrated his 89th birthday and enjoyed a beer with family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons, Richard (Lou Ann) and Ralph (Barbara), Howards Grove; one daughter, Joanne (Dennis) Downing, Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren, Lonna (Jack) Near, Stacy Sebald (Fiance, Scott Balthazar) and Kelly Sebald, Wade Sebald (Fiancee, Abby Lorenz), Brittany (Chuck) Kaiser, Jason Downing and Allison (John) Aschenbach; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Ardell (Betty) Sebald, Sheboygan Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Sebald and two sisters, Elmira "Molly" (Louis) Voss and Ruby (Clarence) Reineking and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

A funeral service for Carlen will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (W2776 Hwy 32, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating.
