Josephine E. Besaw, 81, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday morning, Feb. 10, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 930 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Besaw, nee Josephine Emily Brunette, was born Nov. 24, 1902, at Elcho, Wis., daughter of the late George and Bridget Thompson Brunette. She was married to Emmanuel J. Besaw May 8, 1923, at Shawano. The couple moved to Manitowoc after their marriage. He preceded her in death April 27, 1969. Mrs. Besaw was a member of Christian Women of Holy Innocents Parish.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Greg Besaw of Manitowoc, Jack and Faye Besaw of California and William and Doris Besaw of Arizona; four brothers, Pat, Jack, Peter and Albert, all of Newald, Wis.; three sisters, Angeline, Ellen and Tillie, all of Newald, Wis., and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine, two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
