Mrs. Hilda Bernhardt, 77, formerly of 1115 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening in K.S.B. Hospital, Dixon, Ill. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday in Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Passet will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bernhardt, nee Hilda Stuebs, was born Jan. 30, 1901 in Rockland, Wis., daughter of the late William and Theresa Knuith Stuebs. She attended school in Rockland and was married to Fred Bernhardt Feb. 9, 1921 in Manitowoc. Following marriage the couple resided in Manitowoc. Mr. Bernhardt preceded her in death in 1960.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Emmy Lou Bernhardt of Dixon; two step-sons and step daughters-in-law, Clarence and Fern Bernhardt of Forest Junction and Fred and Leah Bernhardt of Racine; a step-daughter, Miss Bernice Bernhardt of Manitowoc; a brother, Herbert Stuebs of DePere; a sister, Mrs. Helen Kolb of Sheboygan and two grandchildren. A daughter, a step-son and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday afternoon until 11 am Tuesday and in the church from noon until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
