Mrs. Chester Berge, 73, of 731 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Park Lawn
Home, Manitowoc, where she resided five years.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Berge, nee Lydia Rusch, was born June 1, 1895, in the Town of Liberty,
daughter of the late Gustave and Mary Cummings Rusch. She was married June 14,
1917, to Chester Berge in the Town of Liberty, and the couple farmed at Valders
untier of the St. Paul Ladies Aid,
Manitowoc Homemakers and the American Lutheran Churchwomen (ACLW).
Survivors include the husband; a son, Milton, of Milwaukee; a d
aughter, Mrs.
Eugene (Iola) Prindonoff, of Santa Ana, Calif.; a brother, Arnold, of Valders;
a sister, Mrs. Edgar Maurer, of Manitowoc and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home, Manitowoc after 4 p.m.,
Tuesday until Wednesday noon and then at the church until time of services.

Miss Lydia Rusch was united in marriage to Chester Berge at the German Lutheran
Church last Thursday afternoon. Following the ceremony a reception was held at
the bride's home. Many relatives and friends were present. Their many friends
wish them much joy on their journey through life together.
