DEATH CLAIMS H. BENTHEIMER
Funeral Services Scheduled For Saturday Afternoon
Herbert Bentheimer, 51, of 1118 S. 14th street, a resident of Manitowoc for 23
years, died at the hospital at 6:45 o’clock this morning. He had been in poor
health for some time and underwent an operation last Friday.
Survivors are the widow, his mother, Mrs. Augusta Henningsen of Green Bay and
one brother, Walter, Green Bay. The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer Funeral
Home after Friday noon. Funeral services will be in charge of the Rev. W. C.
Kurtz and the Odd Fellows lodge No. 194 and will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at
the funeral home with burial in Evergreen cemetery.
Married in 1911
Mr. Bentheimer was born May 15, 1885 at Helenville, Jefferson county. With his
parents he moved to Green Bay where he grew to manhood. On June 27, 1911 he
married Miss Charlotte Terens of Wisconsin Rapids. They moved to Manitowoc in
1914 and Mr. Bentheimer obtained employment at the National Tinsel factory. He
worked there for 10 years and later was one of the owners of the Main Taxi Line.
Mr. Bentheimer was a member of the Odd Fellows and the E.R.A.
