DEATH CLAIMS YOUNG BRIDE OF THREE YEARS
Mrs. Melvin Sanderson Stricken Friday, Fails to Survive.
Death came to claim Mrs. Melvin Sanderson, a bride of less than three years,
at her home, Twentieth and Clark streets, Sunday. Mrs. Sanderson’s demise
following an illness with which she was stricken Friday last, though she had
been suffering from the ailment for several months. Up to Friday she was about
as usual and last week entertained friends at a social gathering. She was
taken seriously ill Friday and her condition grew rapidly worse until yesterday
when death came.
Mrs. Sanderson, who was 22 years of age, as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Bem and besides her husband is survived by her parents and a brother and a
sister.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, at 1:30 from the home and at 2
from St. Paul’s Norwegian Lutheran church at Tenth and St. Clair Sts.

At the home of Wm. Rathsack, Sr., Christmas, Miss Ruth Bem and Mr. Melvin
Sanderson were united in wedlock, the Rev. Haase officiating. Miss Adeline Hinz
and Arthur Bem, were the attendants. The bride is a popular young lady who has
been employed as a clerk in the Esch store. The groom is employed as a machinst
at the Gunnell Machine Company.
The young couple will make their home in this city.
