WALTER BELL DEATH FRIDAY
Funeral Will Be Held Here Monday
Walter Bell, former Manitowoc resident, died at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon at
the Holy Family hospital.
Mr. Bell was born at Port Huron, Mich., Feb. 7, 1872. He came to Manitowoc in
1907. While here he was a member of the Chickerming Lodge, No. 55 of I.O.O.F.
and also of the Men’s club of the St. Paul’s M.E. Church. The deceased was
employed as car foreman with the Chicago Northwestern R.R. company. He had made
his home in Chicago for the last three years. Surviving are his widow, who
previous to her marriage to Mr. Bell in 189?, was Miss Gertrude Cleveland, and
a daughter, Mrs. Fred Peronto, also of Chicago. Besides, two sisters, Mrs. James
Spica? and Mrs. Thomas Moore, both of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, a brother, Henry,
of Ludington, Mich., survives.
The funeral will be held from the Frazier mortuary, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock
with the Rev. C. R. Bulley of the St. Paul’s M.E. church officiating. Burial will
be at Evergreen cemetery.
