Mrs. Walter Bell, 75, former city resident, died last night at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Fred Peronto in Chicago, with whom she had resided in recent
years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Frazier mortuary chapel,
the Rev. Francis Foulke of the St. Paul’s Methodist church officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Bell, nee Gertrude Cleveland, was born in Pentwater, Mich., in 1873 and
was married in Michigan to Mr. Bell, an employe of the Pere Marquette railroad.
They located in Manitowoc in 1906. Mr. Bell died several years ago. Mrs. Bell,
who was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist church here, moved to Chicago in
1928.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Peronto of Chicago; sister, Mrs. Estelle Stelle
of Detroit; and a grandson, Donald Peronto.
The body will arrive from Chicago Sunday and may be viewed after 4 p.m. at the
Frazier mortuary.
