THEODORE MATTHEW BECKER (d. 2005)

Ted M. Becker, age 90, of 517 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning,
Dec. 29, 2005, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
He was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and Lydia Klein
Becker. On Sept. 7, 1937, he married the former Irene Osesek at St. Mary Catholic
Church, Manitowoc. The couple enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Ted was employed at
Hamann Construction, Parks & Recreation Department for the City of Manitowoc,
Imperial Eastman and Rex Clean. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include his wife: Irene Becker, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law:
Marilyn and Ronald Muench, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Laurie Lemberger, Tim
Lemberger, Jody LeGreve, Derek and Lesley Muench; three great-grandchildren:
Austin and Ashley Lemberger and Hunter LeGreve; and two sisters-in-law: Lucille
Koch and Susan Vogel, both of Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; a brother:
Roman; five brothers-in-law: Florian and Edwin Osesek, Elmer Koch, Robert Vogel,
Victor Ceaglske; a sister-in-law: Dolores Ceaglske; and Matthew LeGreve.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from
9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Funeral
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi
on Waldo. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan
Felton and the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
Ted enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a very creative person and had a great
sense of humor.
A special thank you to the nursing staff at Shady Lane Home for the wonderful care
extended to Ted during his short stay.
