GUSTAVE A. BECKER (d. 1980)

Gustav A. Becker, 81, of 8413 Dutch Rd., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening,
May 10, at St. Mary Hospital, Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Becker was born Jan. 14, 1899, at Athens, Wis., son of the late Frederick
and Maria Johlke Becker. He was graduated from Athens High School and was a
carpenter and farmer his entire lifetime. He married Lillian Luckow May 19, 1923,
at Newton. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Elroy Becker of Manitowoc, five daughters, Violet and
William Engelbrecht of Manitowoc, Betty Jane Laughlin and Lorraine O'Keefe of
Chicago, Elvera and Charles Graves, of Brewton, Ala., and Ella Lousie Habeck of
Green Bay; four sisters, Martha Gaurke, Emma Abitz, Esther Helmke and Edna Koehler,
nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Two sons, four brothers, five sisters and a great grandson preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
