Kenneth Hall was a distinguished and decorated veteran of WWII. He survived 30 missions over Germany with Crew 34, 713th Bomb Squadron, 448th Bomb Group (Heavy), 20th Combat Wing, 2nd Air Division, 8th Air Force, US Army Air Force, at Seething Army Airfield, England as a tail gunner in a B-24J Liberator. He served in the European Theater of Operations from 29 Nov 1943 to 28 Jul 1944.

Upon his return to the US on 3 Aug 1944, he visited a fellow service member in Alabama where he met Shirley Ann Matchan of Sylacauga, Alabama. They were married in Sylacauga on 7 Apr 1945.

After his release from the US Army Air Force on 21 Oct 1945, Kenneth attended the University of Missouri.

After graduation, he became a Civil Servant working for the Department of Agriculture in the Soil Conservation Service.
