Oscar Anholt, 74, Dies Thursday

Oscar Anholt, 74, of 126 West Fifth Street, a retired farmer, died at the Boone county hospital Thursday afternoon, Feb. 28 following a two week illness.

Mr. Anholt was born in Boxholm and farmed in the Dayton area all of his life until he retired five years ago and came to Boone.

Survivors include is widow, Ida, five sons, Dean, Cedar Rapids; Paul and Joe of Paton; Merle of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Bob, who is in the U.S. Air Force at Marquette, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Harlan (Betty) Johnson, Boone; a brother John of Boone and four sisters, Mrs. Hulda Dodd, Miss Hilda Anholt and Mrs. Anna Good, all of Boone and Mrs. Hanna Anderson of Boxhom and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday, March 2 from the Christian Missionary Alliance church with the Rev. Blair Walters in charge. Burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery at Boxholm.

Friends may call at the Welin Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be given to the Christian Missionary Alliance Fund.
