Abisha Goodell Bacon was the son of Noah and Margaret Dickinson Bacon and was born at Mt. Morris on Dec. 24, 1825. He was one of a family of four children, three daughters and a son and was the last of the family. His sisters were Ann, Lucretia and Mary. Ann married the late Paul Stowell of this place, and Lucretia married the late Charles Kelsey of Geneseo; Mary, who died in 1850 , was unmarried.
Mr. Bacon's parents removed from Mt. Morris to Perry when he was three years old, locating on a farm which was the family home and where he resided until five years ago next Paril, when he removed to this village.
On March 6th 1856, Mr. Bacon was united in marriage to Miss Charlotte Macomber, who passed away in 1908. There were two daughters, Addie and Margaret. Only one survives -- Miss Addie --- Margaret (Buckland) passing away on Aug. 22d, 1902.
