George Robert Ash, 84, of 2775 Michigan Ave., Kissimmee, died Aug. 24 at Florida Hospital in Kissimmee. Born July 4, 1911, in Princeton, Mo., he moved to Kissimmee from Green Rock, Ill., in 1979. He was a retired farmer and retired from John Deere Corp. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 2026 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 4048, both of Kissimmee. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Kissimmee. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Irene Ash; daughter, Glenda Johnson, Kissimmee; son, Duane Ash, Garden Grove, Calif.; sisters, Alice Thomas, Trenton, Mo., Lorene Barnett, Dunlap, Mo., Nellie Alnutt, Chilicothe, Mo.; brothers, Earl Ash and Arthur Ash, both of Colona, Ill.; and two grandchildren. Services and interment were held in Green Rock, Ill. Grissom Funeral Home, Kissimmee, was in charge of local arrangements.
