Funeral services for Lillian C. Snider, 89, formerly of 6435 Rock Hill Road, Chambersburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg. She died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, in Quincy United Methodist Home. Born Aug. 12, 1908 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Abram H. and Alma Paxton Culler and the widow of David Snider, who died in 1988. Mrs. Snider was a homemaker and a member of Open Door Church, Chambersburg, where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school.
Surviving are five sons, Jerre K. of Waynesboro, Joseph S., Stephen S. and Michael A., all of Chambersburg, and John A. of Greencastle; a daughter, Dorothea A. Rine of Newville; a brother, Enniss Culler of Chambersburg; and a sister, Lois Dengler of Gettysburg. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David A. Snider, in 1982, and a sister, Miriam Cook. The Rev. Dr. Keith Skelton will officiate at Friday's services. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
