It is with a feeling of true sympathy that the Citizen this week chronicles the death of Dr. A. L. Gaston, of Marbut. Dr. Gaston was, as the Citizen representative is informed, a victim of that deadly disease, typhoid fever, and it is said that his brother, who died Saturday, had the same dreadful disease. It is a matter of genuine regret to have to announce the death of this capable and popular physician. Dr. Gaston was for a long time the valued and reliable correspondent of the Citizen, giving the news impartially and fully. The Citizen wishes that the Lord may temper the cold winds of grief to those who shiver in the heartless blast of sorrow.
