Seminole resident Rev. Floyd James Tate, 68, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in his home.
Services, with the Rev. Drew Isaacs presiding, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Tri-City Christian Center (Immanuel Fellowship). Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole is directing the arrangements.
He was born in Muskogee May 22, 1935, to John Henry and Dolores (Geren) Tate.
He married Norma Elizabeth Barnes July 25, 1959, in Oakcliff Assembly of God Church in Dallas, Texas.
He was a graduate of Southwestern Bible College and was founder and lifelong member of Tri-City Christian Center in Seminole.
He was an ordained minister and pastored for the past 30 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Billy John Tate.
In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a son, Timothy Dewayne Tate and his wife, Kym, of Seminole; a daughter, Cathy Lynn (Tate) Walker and her husband, Rocky, of Pauls Valley; a sister, Virginia Faye Boyce of Stillwater; four grandchildren, Lynsie Jana Walker, Kaylee Brooke Walker, Tyler Timothy Tate and Krystyn Kymberly Tate.
