J. S. HUFFER DEAD AT 81

John S. Huffer, 81, one of the oldest residents of Jefferson twp., Montgomery Co., in point of time spent in the community, died Monday at the home of his son-in-law, Rev J. O. Garst, three miles of the National Military home.

All his life was spent on the the farm which had belonged to his ancestors He was noted for his integrity and for his faithfulness and a member of the Lower Miami Church of the Brethren.

His wife, Rachel Huffer, died two years ago. She and the deceased lived together rearing two children, Jacob K. Huffer and his daughter. Kliza A. Huffer, now the wife of Rev J. O. Garst.

The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning from the residence and at 10:30 at the Lower Miami church. Burial will be in Lower Miami cemetery.
