He was born in Petty Township, Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Grover Cleveland and Ethel Maude (Longnecker) Angle. He married Mamie Helderman.
He retired as a Methodist Minister
He was survived by his wife, two sons, Larry Angle and Jerry Angle; two daughters, Marilyn Vanlandingham and Delores Wright; four brothers, Dale M., Francis E., Kelso, Marshall and Veris; two sisters, Wanda Hobbs and Imogene Cotterell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
