She was born on November 2, 1914 in Henry Co. Iowa to Herman F. and Anna Niemeyer Menke. After high school she was a country school teacher and then worked at WA Sheaffer Pen Co. as a shipping clerk, retiring after 41 years of service. Rosie also volunteered at Ss. Mary's & Josephs in the office for over 18 years. She was a member of Ss. Mary's and Joseph Church Holy Family Parish, C.L.A. and Daughters of Isabella. Rosie also loved playing cards.
Rosie is survived by cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
The funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM at Ss. Mary's and Joseph Church on Saturday, July 28, 2012 with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
