Mrs. Virgie Odessie Walker, 85, of 2701 Fifth Ave., died Thursday in Staats Hospital after a long illness.

Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Ada Young and Mrs. Susan Sundin, both of Charleston; sons, Russell C. of Columbus, Ohio, Danny R. of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. today in Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Warren Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call at the funeral home until service time today.
