85, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died Sunday, May 17, 2009. She was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Withers and Grace Martin.
Survivors include: her husband John Robert Allen Jr.; two sons, Brigadier General John (Joan) Allen, of Springfield, Virginia, and James (Christina) Allen, of Cincinnati; grandsons, Daniel Allen, Timothy Allen, Jeffery Allen, Christopher Allen and Zachary Allen; and a sister, Helen Darnell, of Cynthiana. She is preceded in death by: a brother, James R. Martin; and a sister, Lela Martin Ammerman Fields.
A memorial service will take place at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, with visitation at noon and a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Battle Grove Cemetery will follow the service.
