James Richard McAskill born October 20, 1927 in Weslaco TX, formally of Lexington, KY passed away Saturday July 19 at his home in Wake Forest, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan and is survived by his three children Beth Jackson (Glenn) of Cincinnati OH, Jim McAskill (Carol) of Lexington KY, and Richard McAskill (Trish) of Wake Forest NC. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held on Friday July 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. No visitation. Friends may call on the family 12:00 - 4:00 on Friday at the home of Jim & Carol McAskill. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to: Duke Home Care & Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr Ste. 101 Durham, NC 27704 or a Charity of your choice.
