After the death of her first husband, William Hewitt, Margaret Elizabeth Helm Hewitt (6 Aug 1843 Indiana) married Isaac Smith. She survived him, died aged 89 and eleven months, and was buried beside her first husband in Union Cemetery, where there is a double monument for them. Ruth Brown Egan


Isaac first married Saran M.______ who became Sarah M. Smith, who is buried in Union Cemetery, Randolph County, Indiana. When a widower, he married second, the widow of William Hewitt, Margaret Elizabeth Helm Hewitt. She survived Mr. Smith to be 89 years and 11 months of age and is buried beside Mr. Hewitt under the big double stone prepared for them in Union Cemetery.
