--Our citizens were surprised this morning to learn of the sudden death of John Hott, who has been living with his son-in-law, Howard Triplett, This morning he did not rise as early as usual. Mrs Triplett stepped to his bedroom door to call him, and found him lifeless. Mr Hott had been for some years subject to epilepsy, and it is supposed he died during an apoplectic attack. He was about 59 years of age. A citizen respected by all who knew him. His body was taken to Brooklyn for burial.
