It has just leaked out that Matt F. Maury and Miss Carrie Niesner, both of this city, were married at Columbus about six weeks ago. At that time Miss Niesner left here for Sherman county to visit her mother. Matt accompanied here as far as Columbus and they got married. The bride returned to this city this week and is now at the home of her sister, Mrs. Joseph Axemaker. Matt has kept pretty close mouthed over the matter and it will take lots of cigars to square matters now with the boys. If he had been able to keep the matter under cover the allotted time, the PRESS might have been able to extend congratulations on their marriage and an announcement of their first born, all in the same issue. But we extend congratulations at this time even if it is a little late.
