*****

Savage Ragland died at his home on Dry Fork Monday night Feb. 15, 1926, after an lengthy illness. He was were known throughout the county and a feeling of sadness and regret filled the hearts of his friends when the news of his death was received. He was an honest, upright citizen and devout Christian and a member of the Methodist church for many years. He was a kind loving husband and father and will be greatly missed in his home. He bore his suffering bravely and died as he had lived. All was done that could be done by loving hands for him. God knows best and his will must be done.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. T. Judkins at his home Tuesday afternoon; after which interment in the cemetery at Brown's Chapel.
"Blessed are those who do his commandments that they may have a right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city". May these words be a help to his dear wife, children and grandchildren and help them say, "Thy will be done".
We extend to the bereaved family our sympathy in their sad hour.
