OTTO BATHKE

Otto Bathke, 42, of 2004 Meadow Lane, died late yesterday afternoon at the Holy
Family hospital. He had been ill two weeks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., from the Pfeffer funeral
home and at two o'clock from the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, the
Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Bathke was born in Pierce township, Kewaunee county, in 1897 and came to
Manitowoc 22 years ago, to be employed in the shipping department of Plant No. 2
of the Goods company. He held this position until taken ill. In 1922 he married
Miss Elsie Krueger of this city.
Survivors are the widow; daughter (private); four brothers, Louis Roland, Algoma,
Reinhardt, Kewaunee, Andrew, Oshkosh, Henry, Escanaba, Mich.; sister, Mrs. Henry
Qualman, city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from this evening until the hour of
the services Saturday.
