ANNA BARWINKEL
Mrs. Gottfried (Anna) Berwinkel, 77, of 3520 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died
Friday afternoon, November 12, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Glen J. Siferd will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Barwinkel, nee Anna H. Batz, was born Feb. 21, 1905, at Germany, daughter
of the late Reinhard and Anna Batz. She was married to Gottfried Barwinkel
February of 1930 at Dusseldorf, Germany. He preceded her in death Feb. 15, 1955.
They immigrated to the United States in 1930 settling in Milwaukee for 10 years
prior to moving to Manitowoc. Mrs. Barwinkel was a member of Eastern Star and
Manitowoc Garden Club.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Wesley Voigt of
Cleveland, S.C. and Ruth and T. Stanley Niezgoda of Hubertus, Wis., and six
grandchildren, Wesley Voigt Jr., Glenda Lee, Ruth Ann and Christina Voigt,
Heather and Jennifer Niezgoda.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this
Sunday afternoon and Monday morning until noon when the casket will be moved to
the church.
