MARY V. BARTA

Mary V. Barta, 86, of 128 Riverview Drive, Manitowoc, died Saturday, December 1,
at her residence, following a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday a Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated by Rev. Philip Hoffmann and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mary Victoria Pritzl was born March 2, 1898, at Whitelaw, Wisconsin, daughter of
the late Leopold and Mary Brunner Pritzl. She moved to Manitowoc as a young girl,
residing here since. She married Raymond G. Barta on August 9, 1921, at St.
Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1967.
Mrs. Barta was well known in Manitowoc as a Caterer for over 40 years. She was a
member and past president of Catholic Womens Club, St. Paul Parish Women, Knights
of Columbus Auxiliary, also American Legion Auxiliary and also served as past
president of the 8th District, member of Mary Knoll Mission Society, member of
3rd Order of St. Francis, member of Lions Auxiliary, member of St. Vincent DePaul
Society and Chart member of Adoration Society of St. Paul Parish.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Claude and Joan Barta of Manitowoc;
a daughter and son-in-law, Corinne and Richard Beitzel of Manitowoc; a brother,
Frank Pritzl of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Frances) Nemetz and Mrs.
Raleigh (Agnes) Sorge of Manitowoc, and six grandchildren and six great grand-
children. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sophie.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this
Monday afternoon where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 o'clock by members of
Adoration Society and a prayer service will be at 8 o'clock by Deacon William
Klein.
