ALVINA BARTA

Mrs. Alvina Barta, 75, died at the Municipal hospital in Two Rivers shortly
before 6 o’clock this morning on the anniversary of her birth. She had been
ailing for the past year and one half and was a hospital patient for the past
four weeks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the St.
John’s Lutheran church in Two Creeks. The Rev. Henry E. Pussehl will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Manitowoc. The body may be viewed
at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home in Two Rivers from 7 o’clock tonight
and until 10 o’clock Thursday morning when it will be moved to the church to lie
in state until the time of the services.
Mrs. Barta, nee Alvina Schultz, was born in the town of Two Rivers February 9,
1868, daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Meyer Schultz. She married
Peter Barta March 26, 1894 and the couple settled on a farm near Two Creeks.
Mr. Barta died 13 years ago, March 11, 1930.
Survivors are two sons Raymond of Manitowoc and Calvin on the homestead farm near
Two Creeks; one sister, Miss Minnie Schultz of Appleton and a brother, Charles
Schultz of Manitowoc. Four grandchildren also survive.
