Mrs. Ida Barkhahn, 91, lifelong resident of Manitowoc, who made her home with
a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Anderson, of 1605 Clark St., Manitowoc, died Thursday
evening at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a brief illness.
Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev.
Donald Rose will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Ida Hermann in Manitowoc in 1862, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
William Herrmann. In 1893 she was married to William Barkhahn. Her husband died
in 1918. She was a member of the St. Theresa Society and the St. Ann Christian
Mothers Altar Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Andersen of Manitowoc; brother, George of
Manitowoc; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Friday.
