FATAL ACCIDENT On the 25th inst. About four miles east of Potter's Mill, on
the North Branch of the Manitowoc River, Stephen Baker, aged 14 years was shot
through the head by Frank Albee, a boy of about the same age. It seems that the
two boys went duck hunting in a boat and came in sight of some ducks; both
agreed to fire together, when unfortunately the charge from Albee's gun entered
the back of young Baker's head, killing him almost instantly. The deceased was
the only son of Levi Baker, an highly respected citizen of Rantoul .
