Jeanne F. Baetke, age 67, of Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, February 15, 1998,
at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 1998, at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. Rev. William Zimmer will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born June 28, 1930, daughter of Agnes (DeNoble) LaFond and the late Daniel
LaFond. She married Walter (Bud) Baetke on May 11, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Green Bay. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1991. Jeanne was a member
of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was active in the YMCA and participated in
the Pace Group of Two Rivers.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy Baetke, Green Bay, James
and Carla Baetke, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginny and Bob Matysik,
Onalaska, Wis., Gail and Jim Stewart, Muncie, Ind.; her mother, Agnes (DeNoble)
LaFond, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Michael and Laura Matysik, Austin and Rachel
Baetke, Katie and Michael Stewart; four brothers and sisters-in-law, David and
Betsy LaFond, Milwaukee, Bob and Loretta LaFond, John and Madonna LaFond, all of
Green Bay, Dick and Laverne LaFond, Thiensville, Wis.; two brothers-in-law, Howard
LeClair, Manitowoc, Florian Sprangers, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by
one sister, Janice Sprangers, and one sister-in-law, Florence LeClair.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday,
where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Rev. William Zimmer.
