CARL BOECKMAN(sic) DIES AT HOME ON RURAL ROUTE
A heart ailment from which he suffered for the past several years,
yesterday afternoon proved fatal to Carl Boeckman, 77, a resident
of this city and county for 48 years. He died at his home on
Manitowoc Route 2 at 3:30 o'clock.
Born in Germany July 31, 1851, Mr. Boeckman came to this country
when a young man and for nearly half a century lived here. He
married Miss Minnie Genz, a county resident, in 1881, Mrs. Boeckman
preceding him in death three years ago.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Herman Carstens, wife of the
county sheriff; Mrs. Ole Hendricksen, Waukesha; Mrs. Jule Henrickson,
San Pedro, California; Mrs. Reinhart Lange, Manitowoc; Mrs. C.
Grapentine, Topaz, Michigan, and Mrs. Albert Buttenhohn, Kewaunee;
two sons, Elmer and Charles Boeckman of this city; a brother, Fred,
of Kiel and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Werhle, Milwaukee, and Mrs.
Andrew Stern, this city. Seventeen grand children also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Reinhart Lange, 950 S. Twenty-ninth street, Monday afternoon at 1:30
o'clock, Rev. Klonka of Newton officiating at the home and at the
services at Evergreen cemetery.
