DIED:
Mrs. Eliza Bacon died last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matie Frick,
620 Huron street. Mrs. Bacon had been in feeble health for some time. She was born
in Schenectady, N.Y., in 1836 and came to Manitowoc over 50 years ago. She was
married here in 1860 to John Bacon who passed away several years ago. There are
three children who survive her: Mrs. Lillian Stevens of Ashland, Mrs. Matie Frick
and John Bacon of this city.
The funeral was held on Sunday. Rev. Windiate officiated. Interment was in Evergreen
cemetery.

Pioneer Passes To Her Reward, the End Coming on Thursday
Ill for some period of time, Mrs. Eliza Bacon on Thursday gave up her spirit
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matie Frick, 620 Huron St., her death coming
peacefully and with the decedent resigned and happy in the knowledge that she
was to go to her reward. With the passing of Mrs. Bacon came to an end a life
that has been spent mostly in this city where she has made many friends who will
feel deep sorrow in her death.
Mrs. Bacon was born in Schenectady, N.Y., in 1836 and came here where she was
married to the late Mr. Bacon in 18?? The family surviving consist of Mrs. Matie
Frick, this city, Mrs. Lilllian Stevens, Ashland and John, this city. The funeral
will be held from the Frick home on Sunday, Rev. Windiate officiating and
interment will be at Evergreen.
