OBITUARY – COLDEN
Lulu Dammen was born in the town of York November 20, 1897, and died at her home on the Gustav Olson farm Wednesday Morning, January 22, 1919, aged 21 years, 2 months and 2 days.

Her early life was spent on the old homestead. She was united in marriage to Edward Colden Nov. 22, 1916. To this union two sons were born, Julian and Erling.

A few days ago the young wife and mother was stricken with influenza which developed into pneumonia and soon proved fatal.

Besides her husband and two small sons she leaves to mourn her early death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dammen, five sisters, Clara, Cora, Alma, Nellie and Esther, and six brothers, Bernie, Leroy, Palmer, Normann, Burnell and Orville.

The funeral was held Saturday, service being conducted by Rev. K. N. Rudie, pastor of the Lutheran church at Argyle. Interment was made in Graceland Cemetery.
