ARTHUR R. FREEMAN

Arthur R. Freeman, 78, of Midland, died Friday, Sept. 6, 1991, at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center. The son of the late William and Christina Marshall Freeman was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Midland County where he was raised and educated.

He married the former Hazel Wasser in Midland Sept. 3, 1937. Mr. Freeman was a partner with Freeman and Shepherd General Contractors for 25 years before retiring in 1966. He then worked in the area of land development with Freeman Development Corporation.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He spent winters in Ellenton, Fla. for the past 18 years.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Freeman; his sons, William Freeman of Freeland, Robert and Carolyn Freeman of Midland and Thomas Freeman of Eugene, Ore.; one daughter, Margaret and Sherman Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 1991, from Wilson Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Ira A. Bush will officiate. Interment will be in Midland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and anytime afternoon Sunday where the family will be present from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m.. to 9 p.m.
