Unionville, Mo. - Opal Pearl Exline Fields, 74 resident of Cincinnati, IA, died Tuesday, November 5, 1974, at 1:45 a.m. at Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville, MO.

She was born May 29, 1900 in Exline, Appanoose Co., IA to the late George Washington Exline, and Alice Leona Haptonstall.

She was married to William Carl Fields, July 5, 1920, under a Weeping Willow tree on the side of the road near Seymour, Appanoose Co., IA. She spent her lifetime in Cincinnati and Wheaton, IL. Her membership was with the Cincinnati Christian Church.

She was an avid gardener, did all kinds of needle work and weaving and loved to play the piano and sing to her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one brother; Clovie, and three sisters; Clara Elffie, Verta (Chuck) Bennett, and Mary (Zora) Davis.

Four children survive, Alice (Bill) Breeding , Miami, FL, Wanda (Lyndon) Kelley, Des Moines, IA, Jack (Virginia) Fields, Ewen, MI, Mary Ann (Wayne) Moriarty, Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, November 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the West Christian Church in Cincinnati with Rev. James McMorrow in charge. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Comstock Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 8.
