Long illness claims Mrs. Ada Hale, 85 at West P'burg An invalid for serveral years, Mrs. Ada Church Hale 85 years old, widow of Samuel Vincent Hale, died at 10:56 Wednesday morning, at the West Prestonsburg home of her son, Samuel V. Hale Jr. Mrs. Hale was a native of Wise county Va..., and in young woman-hood resided in Carter county where she was married. A member of the Missionary Baptist Church since girlhood, she was one of the section's best women. Surviving are five sons and one daughter; J. L. Hale of Ashland; Warren Hale, South Point, Ohio; S.H, S.V. and Watt Hale all of West Prestonsburg; Mrs. Myrtle Simmons, Hitchens, Ky. She also leaves serveral brothers and sisters. Funeral will probably be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Assembly of God Church, West Prestonsburg, the Rev. Clyde Church, Swords Creek, Va., and the Rev G.H. Fannin officating. Burial will be made at West Prestonsburg under the direction of the Arnold Funeral Home.
