Addie Lee Conner Gadsden, 90, of Victoria, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009. She was born July 24, 1919, in Victoria, to the late Margaret Fisher Friar and Sylvester Conner. She was a retired nurse and a Baptist.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Webb of Austin, Hermastine Cephus of Victoria, Faye Gadsden of Austin, Sandra Hendricks of San Antonio, and Helen Gadsden Ross of Victoria; sons, Robert Gadsden of Germany and Henery Gadsden of Houston; and 25 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Gadsden; son, Herman Lee Gadsden Jr.; and sister, Suvannah Wakefield.
Walk-in visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. today, Nov. 13, 2009 at Barefield Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Harvey Snell, pastor, Rev. Vernon Garza officiating, and Rev. Harold Ray Ellis, eulogist. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Todd Hendricks, Duwayne Upton, Henry Hill, Darrell Upton, and Rick Blakes.
Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
