Josephine Bracket was a daughter of James Brackett and Sarah Johnson Brackett.

Josephine Brackett married first to Roy Fenton Painter, Sr. on November 9, 1940 in Sebastian County, Arkansas. They had no children.

Josephine Brackett married second to Marvin R. "Six" Fulgham on July 16, 1945.

Services for Mrs. Josephine Fulgham, 86, were Wednesday at Reed-Culver Chapel with the Rev. Larry Hatfield officiating. Burial was in Tahlequah City Cemetery. Pallbearers were great nephews. Mrs. Fulgham was born August 6, 1898, in Cherokee County, Indian Territory, to James and Sarah (Johnson) Brackett. She died Sunday May 19, 1985 at Tahlequah City Hospital. She grew up in Cherokee County. On July 16, 1945, she married Marvin R. "Six" Fulgham. They then moved to Tulsa and moved to Tahlequah in 1955.
She was a homemaker and a member of Park Hill Baptist church. Her husband died January 19, 1985. Survivors include one brother, Jess Brackett, of Porter; four nieces; and four nephews.
