VICTORIA (CERNAT) AUSTIN

Mrs. Albert (Victoria) Austin, age 78, of 1516 Jasmine Drive, Manitowoc, passed
away Friday morning, Feb. 7, 2003 at the River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation
Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10,
2003 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc.
Pastor Todd Musial will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Victoria Cernat was born Jan. 8, 1925 at Hubbard Lake, Mich., daughter
of the late Louis and Lena Ordean Cernat. She graduated from high school in Detroit,
Mich. On June 14, 1948 Victoria was married to Albert C. Austin at Hubbard Lake,
Mich. She was the manager of the Woolworth five and dime store in Flint, Mich. The
couple moved to Manitowoc from Flushing, Mich., in 1985. She was a member of the
Manitowoc Senior Center, Goodwill Industries of Flint, Mich., and the Fairwinds
Girl Scout Council in Michigan.
She was the beloved wife and mother of her husband: Al of Manitowoc; one son and
daughter-in-law: Bill and Michelle Austin of Plymouth; one daughter: Pat Austin
of Manitowoc; one grandson: Jordan Austin of Plymouth; two sisters and brothers-
in-law: Louise and Jere Kauffman of New Hope, Minn.; Marge and Jack Nichols of
Alpena, Mich.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was
preceded in death by one brother: Charles; three sisters: Marie, Helen and Ginny.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, Feb. 10, 2003 from 9 a.m. until the time
of services at 11 a.m. at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc.
