CLARENCE J. AUGUSTIN
Clarence J. Augustin, age 87, a resident of North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation
Center, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2001, at St. Boniface
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
Rev. Camillus Janas O.F.M. with cremation to follow.
He was born May 19, 1913, in Neva, Wis., son of the late Frank and Mary Stueck
Augustine (sic). Clarence served in the United States Army during World War II
in New Guinea and the Philippines. Clarence moved from the Antigo area as a young
boy residing in the Manitowoc County area most of his life. He was employed by the
former Aluminum Speciality Company before his retirement. Clarence was a member of
the V.F.W. and St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include one sister and two brothers-in-law, Anne and Edward Krupski,
Edward Schleis, all of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Augustine (sic),
Loveland, Colo.; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was
preceded in death by four brothers, Louis, Frank, Ray and Eugene Augustine and four
sisters, Elsie Ahl, Marie Schleis, Marcella Grady and Cecilia Schleis.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc
from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service at 10 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
