HENRY ASCHENBRENNER SR (d. 1947)

Henry Aschenbrenner, Sr., 58, of 508 Buffalo street, died Sunday morning at
his home after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mr. Aschenbrenner was born in Russia in 1887. He married Dorothy Altergott in
Alexandroff, Russia in 1907 and the couple came to America when Mr. Aschenbrenner
was 21 years old. They settled in Cleveland, O., and resided in the west before
moving to Manitowoc 3 years ago. For many years he was employed as a carpenter at
the Burger Boat company in this city.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Godfrey, Henry Jr., and Edward, all of
Manitowoc; and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Tuesday noon
until 10 a.m. Wednesday when it will be moved to the church where it will lie in
state until time of services.
