Mrs. Hattie Alter, 90, of 627 N. Water St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at
7 a.m. Friday, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, with Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating and burial in Evergreen
Cemetery.
The former Hattie Guttmann was born at Manitowoc Jan. 15, 1868, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Guttmann. She was married Jan. 30, 1890, at
Manitowoc to Gustav Alter, former Treasurer of Schuette Bros. Co. at Manitowoc.
He died in 1936. Mrs. Alter was affiliated with the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence and Fred of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs.
H. C. Dunton of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
