MARY ALLGER
Mrs. Mary Allger, 75, widow of Charles Allger, died Friday night
at Holy Family hospital after a brief illness. She resided at 413
N. Seventh street.
She was born in Bohemia and her maiden name was Stodhola. She came
to the United States with her parents at the age of seven. The family
settled in the Town of Kossuth and later moved to Franklin, Kewaunee
county. In 1883 she was married to Charles Allger, who for many years
was engaged in the draying business here and was also owner of the
old Crystal theater, located in the building now leased by the Strand
theater.
Mr. Allger died six years ago. Surviving are two brothers, Joseph and
John Stodhola, both of Franklin, Kewaunee county.
Mrs. Allger was a member of the Ladies Aid society of St. Paul's
Methodist church.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home
after 7 o'clock tonight. Funeral services will be held there Saturday
afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Victor Nearhoof of St. Paul's M.E.
church in charge. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.
