Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday in Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. David Passet will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens,
Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Allen was born Feb. 18, 1920 in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Mabel Houghton
Allen. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc,
in 1939. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy as a First Class Petty Officer. He
married Marjorie Franke Aug. 22, 1942, in Manitowoc. They resided in Manitowoc. Mr. Allen
was employed by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co. as a foreman in the Welding Dept. He was a
member, former Choir director and on the official board of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Connie and Jeff
and Sue of Manitowoc; three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Ron Hinz of Appleton,
Kay Allen of Manitowoc and Kim Allen at home; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and
Dorothy Allen of Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mrs. Marie Kadow of
Manitowoc, Dorothy and Orville Eichman of New Berlin, Geneva and John Meyer, of Federal
Way, Wash.; five grandchildren and cousins, nieces and nephews. A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 7:30 pm to 10 pm Sunday and Monday
in the church from noon until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
